The Meditech Staffing / DVA Community Nursing Program is led by dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist teams whose leaders have over 25 years’ experience with the care of War Veterans and War Widows.
A Support structure of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing equal to 187 full time equivalent staff complete our service delivery model.
Clinical Assessments are conducted by trained Registered Nurses.
Care Planning and delegation is determined by the lead Registered Nurse and overseen within a clinical governance framework.
The General Practitioner is kept updated on admission whenever clinically indicated, but at a minimum every 3 months as standard.
What Services can an eligible person receive?
Who is eligible?
The person requiring care would need to have a Gold Card or a White Card from DVA.
A Gold Card will ensure community nursing services to meet all assessed clinical and/or personal care needs can be provided.
If the card holder has a White Card, DVA will fund community nursing services if they are required due to an accepted war or service caused injury or disease (accepted disabilities).
Meditech Staffing will confirm eligibility with DVA in all instances.
